The Charity that receives the collective donation is eligible to be nominated again in one year. All other nominees can be nominated again at any time.
All nominated charities must be registered with the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) in order to provide tax receipts to all donors. Before nominating a charity, please complete the form below. Remember to check with the organization to make sure they are willing to provide receipts and speak to the group at the next meeting, should they receive the group 'gift'.
Our intent is to support charities working to enhance all parts of our community. As charities are nominated, we will add them to the list below. Local chapters of provincial or national charities are also eligible, as long as the contribution is used to enhance supports in Brooks and area. Although often registered as charitable organizations, schools and churches are not eligible for nomination through this project.
If you are unable to find a charity listed on the CRA website, please contact the charity directly and get the information needed. Some local chapters are listed under national titles.
The list below is intended to provide members with a sample of Brooks and area charities. It is by no means a comprehensive list. If you know of other registered charities, either local, provincial, or national, with chapters operating in Brooks and Area, please let us know and we will add them to this list.
